Services for children and adolescents may vary depending on the needs of the individual. Care givers or professionals in the lives of children or adolescents may have concerns about the emotional well-being or behaviour of the individual and seek support. Emotional or behavioural problems may arise from a variety of reasons, resulting from stressors related to the child’s specific phase of development, or related to their environment (such as changes at home or school) or due to the presence of a longer-term condition (such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

Treatment services provided may include:

- Assessment for learning or developmental difficulties
- Play therapy (“hands on” therapy instead of “talk therapy”)
- Clinical treatment for issues such as anxiety, bullying, organizations
- Coping with learning difficulties
- Incorporation of family/ parenting support
