Registered Psychological Associate
Elena Viola is a registered Psychological Associate, licensed to practice counselling and school psychology with children and adolescents in Ontario. As well, she is a professional member of the Canadian Psychological Association.
She has over 15 years of experience in providing a wide range of Psychological services with children, adolescents, and young adults who present with a variety of behavioural, learning, and social-emotional challenges. She has expertise in the assessment factors in clarifying the underlying difficulties which affect learning, such as: learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders, executive functioning, intellectual/developmental disabilities, giftedness, as well as social-emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviour disorders, and trauma. She also conducts assessments with young adults for the purpose of identifying appropriate accommodations at the post-secondary school level for students with learning disabilities.
Ms. Viola’s provides an evidence-based approach, and focuses on providing clients with practical recommendations to assist and support their learning and functioning to provide them with a better understanding of their individual strengths and needs.
In addition to her work at Peel Psychology and Therapy Centre, Ms. Viola is also employed with the Psychology Department at a local area school board and works in collaboration with parents, school staff, students, and numerous outside agencies.
