Staff Information
Psychologists
Psychologists hold a PhD or PsyD in Psychology. They are registered with and regulated by the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide assessment, communication of diagnosis and treatment including psychotherapy. Psychological Associates hold an M.Sc or M.A degree in Psychology. They too have to be registered with and are regulated by the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide assessment, communication of diagnosis and treatment including psychotherapy.
Psychotherapists
Psychotherapists hold a Master degree in Counselling Psychology or other mental health-related fields. They are registered with and regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. They are not able to diagnose but are able to provide psychotherapy.
Social Workers
Social Workers hold a Masters in Social Work. They are registered with and regulated by Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. They are not able to diagnose but are able to provide psychotherapy.
Intake Associates
Intake Associates are placement students and volunteers who work collaboratively to assist new and current clients with any booking and general inquiries. Intake associates are responsible for responding to phone calls and emails in a timely and empathetic manner, completing the intake form with new clients, attending meetings with all staff members, keeping the office tidy, and ensuring that clients have a warm and welcoming environment to wait in prior to their sessions.
